Crash Data Retrieval (CDR)

Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) is a method to obtain crucial
deployment depending on the vehicle involved.

Many vehicles equipped with airbag modules lock and save
data following an airbag deployment.  Our trained experts
download and analyze this data for our client.  The obtained
data may support reconstruction methods including
momentum and crush analysis.

Currently, several vehicles including Ford, General Motors,
and Chrysler can be downloaded.  In 2012, the National
Highway and Traffic Safety Administration will require all
vehicles to be downloadable.

Some of the information which may be obtained from a CDR
download include:

  • Vehicle Speed
  • RPM
  • Percentage of Braking
  • Percentage of Throttle
  • Seatbelt Status
